Pepper and mustard are rehabilitated

West German professor Hans Glartzel, head of the department of clinical physiology of the Max Planck Planck Physiology Institute, opposed the generally accepted opinion that pepper, mustard and some other spices are harmful. He believes that Kayenn pepper, which strengthens for a short time, the release of gastric juice, and mustard, which the effect of which is longer, contribute to a faster and thorough digestion of food, even abundant. Not only that. He argues that in many cases these substances supposedly have a beneficial effect on the heart and blood circulation.

Some of these substances also contribute to blood circulation along the peripheral vessels of the skin and reduce blood viscosity. In addition, as recently established, they have a certain effect on the outer layers of the adrenal gland, which, being a tank of hormones, play an important role in the regulation of stress reactions with extreme stresses. It is also assumed that these substances affect the ability to focus on the speed of reactions, although there is no direct evidence of this. Glartzel claims that spices are a completely natural and necessary component of our nutrition.

As for the statement of Dr. Glaottzel that everything he said about spices applies to patients living on a strict diet, let us leave him on the author’s conscience.
