Hello, friends! Today we will tast a gourmet paste with a goose liver of the brand “NAME”. Looking in advance, let’s say that in this review you will make sure of the need for a detailed study of the product marking, namely, in order not to come up with beautiful tricks that manufacturers prepare for us.

On the label proudly flaunts the inscription “with goose liver”. The line is very thin, is it not true? By mistake, you can buy this product, thinking that it is a paste from a goose liver, more expensive, by the way, than from pork liver. In general, such a trick probably works great, because not even every second buyer reads the composition of the product! In it, the goose liver divides the fourth or fifth place with pork meat with a share of only 10% of the total mass! Like this! Inattention punishes!
As you can see, in the first place we have a pork bacon, that is, an ordinary lard. There is even more there than pork and goose liver combined! Whereas in high-quality liver paste, the lobe of the liver should not become less than 50-55%.
The fact that the manufacturer uses a pork skin, you should not scare you. It is added as a binder agent, so that the consistency is thicker. We indicated this in the article on choosing a paste from the goose liver.
In the same article, we indicated that some manufacturers in the production of a paste use not simple kitchen salt, but nitriture salt, that is, a mix of salt and additives E-250. E-250 is sodium nitrite, used for painting products from meat and fish, as well as as a preservative. This is a generally detailed toxic substance that has a carcinogenic effect, that is, it can provoke the occurrence of malignant tumors!
The E-410 Stabilizer (Horn Done Comed) We painted in an article about the caviar cap. Natural and safe substance. But the E-407 stabilizer (carragan) has not been fully studied, therefore its effect on the human body is not determined, despite the fact that this substance of natural origin is made of seaweed.
Emulgator E-508 (potassium chloride) is used as an additive to sodium salt, prevents coming of products. Used even in medicine to strengthen the heart muscle. Like other salts, without problems, is excreted by the kidneys from the body.
We see that the manufacturer did not want to decipher the flavor, which is used in production. Is it a natural flavor or not – we do not know. And it’s bad!
Well, so that it does not seem a little, they added to us flavor amplifiers. E-621 (Glutamate Sodium)-one of the most dangerous dietary supplements. More recently, we painted it in the tasting of the naggets “easily”, we will not repeat ourselves. E-635-double-substituted ribonucleotides sodium. Can provoke gastrointestinal disorders and disrupts normal blood pressure. Dangerous!

9. Marking. All information about the product is indicated on the packaging, what you can make sure of the above photos, although it was quite difficult to photograph such a small text. It should be noted that the small text is not a minus of the marking, since the packaging itself is quite small and it is not possible to apply information in large font. The final date of consumption is applied by the marker to the bottom of the package and is clearly visible.
10. Net mass (on packaging): 60g
11. Gross mass in fact: 64g
12. The mass of packaging: 4g
No more, no less! Exactly 60 grams. Great!
13. Type and aroma. The paste has a homogeneous consistency with a barely perceptible granularity. Komkov we did not notice. The color is also uniform-brown-pink. But the aroma cannot be called liver in any way. He is rather meat. In addition, among the notes of spices, fatness is clearly felt.
14. Taste. The same and tasteful. We did not feel the liver of liver. Perhaps he is, but his spices interrupt him. The fact that there is a liver in it reminds us of only a small bitterness in the aftertaste. All. And so this is an ordinary meat paste. No more…
The delicate texture of the paste should be noted. He literally melts in his mouth. But not from the fact that it has 30% fat? May be. In addition, fatty meat tones also prevail in taste.
