Virtual love: it is real or not, is it worth it to try

Virtual love and real feelings

Whatever you say, but before the search for a partner was much easier: people met friends or on a dance site and, meeting a couple of times, fell in love with each other or diverged. Long, non -binding relations were considered shameful. And such a thing as “virtual love” simply did not exist.

Today, young people have the opportunity to get acquainted with the opposite sex, using the Internet. Dating sites, chats, programs for online communication – new technologies allow you to find a potential partner and tie a love relationship at a distance.

However, how strong and true are the feelings that arise between the two, in fact, strangers? Does virtual love exist and whether it has a relationship to real life?

Real feelings or projection of your own desires?

In the case of virtual communication, we are talking about a strong idealization of a partner who has nothing to do with reality. Often, a partner transfers his desires on a virtual interlocutor and falls in love with the created ideal. At the same time, both sides may experience symptoms of love: rapid heartbeat, inspiration, etc. In this case, it may be appropriate to use the phrase “virtual love”. However, with a real feeling, it has nothing to do with. You can talk about real relationships only after people meet in reality.

Deep feelings require trust and time

What kind of feelings arise in interlocutors during virtual communication, and whether they are related to real life depends on many factors. One thing is indisputable: to build strong, and even more love relationships, confidence is necessary. Virtual communication makes it difficult to fulfill this condition. Is it possible to trust a person who you know nothing about? For this reason, when it comes to relationships that develop exclusively at the virtual level, the word “love” is better to avoid. And, using the phrase “virtual love”, it should be understood that we are not talking about the true meaning of the word “love”.

Can virtual love become real?

Maybe I personally know 2 couples who met over the Internet. However, for this it is necessary to fulfill one condition: do not postpone a real meeting for a long time. Each of the parties must at the same time understand that the first date will turn into a deidealization of a partner. You need to be prepared for disappointment and the fact that the interlocutor will have to get acquainted again.

What is virtual love? In my understanding, this is an attempt to materialize the ideal of a partner. Each of us wants to love and be loved, the Internet allows you to create the illusion of this feeling.

If you do not want disappointments, then use the world network only as a preposition of dating. Then it all depends on you.
