Shotland eggs

We will cook eggs in Shotland from the following products, the ingredients are taken for six portions:

Eggs – 7 pieces

Pork – 300 grams

Beef – 300 grams

Basil – 1 teaspoon

Grated nutmeg – 1 teaspoon

Oil – 800 ml

Salt – 1 teaspoon

Let’s prepare the eggs in Schottland, the recipe for this dish told me my mother’s page:

First, cook the eggs for no more than four to five minutes.

Then mix the pork and beef and make a homogeneous finely chopped minced meat.

After that, add a raw egg to minced meat and knead thoroughly.

Salt and add spices.

Mix.

Next, divide the minced meat into six equal parts.

From each part we make an oval cake. The thickness of the cake should be slightly less than 1 cm, after which we wrap the eggs tightly in the cakes.

Then, pour the oil into the pan and heat well over medium heat.

Then we lower the eggs into the oil and fry to the brownish color, often turning over.

After frying, take out the finished eggs and get their best with a kitchen towel in order to remove the remaining oils.
