The level of service in hotels does not always correspond to the declared one, only a few work on the “all inclusive” system. The majority of hotels are located on the coast.
The hotel territories are guarded by the police, so it is safe to stay there. The main resorts of the country include:
- Port-au-Prince. The key resort of the country. The city is protected by coral reefs. Cruise ships call at the port.
- Petionville, a suburb of Port-au-Prince. This is where the majority of hotels, restaurants, shops are concentrated. It is considered a quiet area.
- Plain du Cul-de-Sac. Stretches from Port-au-Prince to the border with the Dominican Republic.
- Cap-Haitien. The resort is known for its landscapes and forests. It is located on the northern coast of
- Haiti. A popular resort and port at the same time.
- Jacmel. Translated – the pearl of the coast. It is located in the southern part of the island. Not far from the city there are three lakes connected by cascades of pools.
- Kenscoff. Situated in the mountains. A favourite holiday destination for wealthy Haitians.
