Herbal teas have a lot of useful properties: they stimulate the digestion process, facilitate the functioning of the respiratory tract, and help to cope with colds. The only drawback of herbal teas: they can stain their teeth. Therefore, this drink should not be drunk just before going to bed when the teeth are already brushed.

Herbal teas today can be bought in all supermarkets and pharmacies. Keep in mind that herbal tea is not recommended to drink cold, as you can do with fruit teas. The aroma of herbal tea can only open thanks to boiling water. Know also that herbal tea in bags is less effective than in a loose form.

Herbal tea against a cold

Anyone who does not want to resort to tablets at every time, can help his body and other methods, for example, prepare tea from herbs.

Herbal tea consists of various herbs and flowers, often it includes chamomile flowers and linden or sage leaves. Each substance that is part of the herbs, of course, acts on its own, but in combination they are an effective remedy against a cold.

The linden color, for example, helps the body sweat, which is necessary to fight bacteria that cannot tolerate heat. Chamomile soothes and has a therapeutic effect. Sage, thanks to his essential oils, frees the respiratory tract and therefore is an excellent remedy against a cold, sore throat and cough.

In addition to the above three herbs, other herbs may also include tea against the common cold. They are designed to help the body cope with the pathogens and support the immune system. Herbal tea against a cold should not be taken just like a regular drink. It is necessary to resort to it only when the corresponding disease appears.

How to cook herbal tea?

Its effectiveness will depend on how you prepare a drink.

Rules for the preparation of herbal tea:

Pour custard kettle with boiling water.

Pour the grass into the kettle, pour it with boiling water and close it tightly.

Insist tea for 3-10 minutes. It all depends on the type of grass.

As soon as the tea is infused, immediately strain it. If the herbs are brewed longer than the due time, then the tea can purchase a bitter taste.

You can store the finished herbal tea in the refrigerator for 2 days, in a sealed glass dish.

If you want to enjoy the taste of herbal tea and fully evaluate its beneficial properties, then use enameled or glassware for cooking. Aluminum and cast iron are not suitable categorically: the metal will adversely affect the beneficial properties of herbs.
